Release number three for the week at KoRI was ‘GARY’. Gary was a koala we received several calls from when he was spotted firstly in trees on the foreshore of Paynesville and then in areas as he progressed through the urban area of the township over the past month. Paynesville does not have a koala population, with not many koala feed trees. Gary was seen in several inappropriate areas and crossing several roads. Each time he was reported, we were unable to get to him in time. We were very lucky

It’s always a good day at KoRI when we release a koala out to be wild and free.
