This is a lovely duet with Elvis and Charlie Hodge. 💖 Apparently they sang this song to console their fellow soldiers who were homesick. When Elvis returned, he insisted upon recording this with Charlie. I love their harmonies. Charlie was a great singer and musician 🎶 who belonged to a quartet before being drafted to the Army at the same time as Elvis. They met and became friends on the ship over to Europe. Charlie was a musical peer and a best friend right until the very end. 🥰🥹🥰 #elvis19
