Malawians go to the polls on 16 September, but there’s only one female presidential candidate out of 17 contenders – former president Joyce Banda - and currently in parliament, only 45 out of 193 MPs are women. Now, a group called The Women’s Manifesto Movement is galvanising and training women across Malawi to make their voices heard more loudly in future elections.
