Sorry, but The Last Jedi is genuinely the single best Star Wars movie there is. It’s a story of failure, naivety, letting go, and redemption. I will defend this movie to my grave, I do not have anything bad to say about it

Fans who think Frank's book was very positive aren't really truthfull. Even if he didn't mention the abuse, you can still see that their relationship was toxic. JJ Abrams received a $5 magic mystery box as a kid and decided never to open it, thinking the mystery of what could be inside would always be better. The trouble is that once you open the box, you have to face the fact it's just filled with cheap magic tricks. This is why Lost finale failed, and while Force Awakens had some cool potential which never lead to anything. His whole brand is teasing without delivering. It's movie edging.
