Renowned sitarist Anoushka Shankar expressed devastation after her sitar was damaged on an Air India flight, posting a video on Instagram showing a deep crack on the instrument. She said it was the first time in 15–17 years that such damage had occurred and questioned the airline’s handling of Indian instruments, despite paying handling fees. Air India confirmed it is investigating the incident, including reviewing CCTV footage at Delhi airport, and stated it is engaging with Shankar to understa
