Xiphactinus audax was a massive, extinct predatory fish that ruled the seas during the Late Cretaceous (~90–66 million years ago). It patrolled the Western Interior Seaway—a vast, shallow ocean that once split North America in two. Easily one of my all-time favorite specimens, this incredible fossil is now being showcased at the co-op here in Arizona.
