The Black Spitting Cobra (Naja nigricincta woodi) A large cobra averaging 80 cm - 1.8m in length, which is active during the day and favours dry riverbeds and rocky hills. It is a shy and elusive snake that is quick to escape if encountered, but if cornered it doesn’t hesitate to spread an impressive hood and spit its venom.
