In honor of Black History Month, we’re highlighting African American artists whose works are currently on view at the GCMA. While these works represent a snapshot of what you can see in the galleries today, the GCMA African-American Collection spans more than 180 years of American history. First up: Thomas Sills 🎨 Born to North Carolina sharecroppers in 1914, Sills took a winding path to becoming an artist, working jobs from theater doorman to liquor deliveryman before finding his place in the
