Jun 30, 2020 · My understanding is the owner moved to Santa Cruz to open this restaurant, and some of his prior employees from the east coast volunteered to join. I wasn’t there, and didn’t see what happened. But, I do believe in innocence until proven guilty. I won’t boycott the place because a drunk caused a disaster.

Alderwood - Expensive, steak-focused but there’s other things on the menu too, probably the “nicest” restaurant in SC although many avoid it because some ownership and management issues a couple years back.

May 14, 2024 · No advice on that complex specifically, but I currently live in another property run by Prometheus in Santa Clara and have been very happy with them for the 2 years I've been here. The office staff are friendly and always helpful, maintenance requests are handled in a timely manner, and improvements are done to the shared spaces fairly often.

The Filipino waiter at Alderwood Santa Cruz who was fired for acting in self defense when racist patrons got physical (and the restaurant victim-blaming reminiscent of Trump's "both sides to blame" for Charlottesville) never got nearly the same amount of support.
