The big expansions open up lots of locations, sure, but also provide a distant area that needs policing for some reason or another (the Dunwich Horror or Rifts) that really hurts the party in a 3-5 player game, imo.

And the Black Goat means the place is crawling with monsters that have to be dealt with; there will be too many to be ignored. So you can;t just avoid the Dark Young. There's a hexagon cup, and Dark Young move, which means Arkham wil be crawling with them.

Dec 1, 2022 · Good lord! How much table space does this thing need? Perhaps a rating with table dimensions would help. Say, 2x2, 3x3 or 4x4? Anything beyond that and I'll suggest the designer go back to the drawing board. A slightly different discussion is the amount of material some of these games come with which is nothing short of staggering.
