Apr 6, 2024 · That eula bypass is for Samsung vr app its video browser if I remember correctly and has nothing to do with setup files you don't need to use that app at all I know it downloads automatically in Gear vr wizard but that doesn't affect anything really

Feb 20, 2024 · It's Samsung trying to quickly get something out there in response to Apple. As they iterate year on year it'll get a lot better, but I don't think the first gen will quite be it. Samsung copies fast with good hardware and that'll bring them up to speed within a couple gens, but it doesn't seem like they've been planning this for a long time.

I had the same problem with Samsung Internet, turns out it's not actually looking for Samsung Internet but Samsung Internet VR, which keeps failing to download from samsung's server for some reason. What worked for me is com.sec.android.app.svrbrowser_5.6.00.10-560010000_minAPI21(armeabi-v7a)(nodpi)_apkmirror.com.apk from apkmirror.

Install NetGuard from the Playstore. Download the plugin in the post above. Start the update until it fails. Turn off wifi and data. Install the downloaded plugin I blocked all Oculus and Samsung VR stuff in NetGuard, 13 apps, probably it's not necessary to block all.

Apr 8, 2022 · I had samsung galaxy s8 plus in past and was using vr gear by samsung with it. I never had any issues and never had headache from it. The occulus app was amazing however I had to buy new phone which is samsung galaxy S22 ultra.

Jan 17, 2021 · Samsung have updated their mobile OS, even for their older model phones (S8/S10 series...etc) to now be incompatible with the Gear VR Headset/Software. My daughter used to enjoy the rollercoaster games..etc but now since the update, and the fact you are unable to roll-back the OS, its made my old phones, and the headset useless for this purpose.

Jul 6, 2023 · It's nice to see Samsung getting back into the VR HMD market after Microsoft completely dropped the ball on WMR (it had decent headsets, especially the Odyssey+ and HP's Reverb HMDs, especially for the time, but MS just couldn't care less, and the platform suffered for it and would've been DOA if it wasn't for SteamVR).
