Ships don't have any limitations regarding fuel usage or time spent so this maneuver is just meant to simulate what you would need to do if those limitations existed. I used the X-wing but you can do this slingshot with any ship as long as it has warp capabilities.

Dec 11, 2019 · In 0.9.9.0, when using the Flight Simulator, there is no "reverse time speed" button. I found this extremely useful in 0.9.8.0 when putting a spaceship in a low orbit, when planning an atmospheric entry, and in general useful when making videos.
