Jul 18, 2022 · The early/mid 2000s is not old enough to be "retro", file sizes are relatively large compared to 90s games (thanks to the explosion of DVD media), a lot of them are still tied up with companies trying to do remakes/remasters, many of them were bad ports and weren't even offered digitally, etc... finding that era of PC games can be a pain.

Quite the skill floor and ceiling, but once you learn one, they transition pretty well, and you are rewarded with amazing games. If military is more your style, they also do the Hearts of Iron series.
