The Beatles drummer Ringo Starr is lending some notes for Sam Mendes ‘ biopic on the musician. According to a new interview with the New York Times, Starr and Mendes spent “two days” going over the script “line by line” and Starr “offered extensive notes” in order to make the film more accurate to his personal life and experiences.

With theaters preparing for a British Invasion ahead of the Beatles cinematic event in 2028, Ringo Starr is making sure the movies get it right.

In an interview with The New York Times, Ringo Starr explained he met with director Sam Mendes in London to discuss his issues with the script. The Beatles drummer mainly had a problem with how his first marriage to Maureen Starkey Tigrett was depicted.
