The Punjab government said that the negotiations are going on at various levels with the protesting farmers and efforts are being made to shift Mr. Dallewal to hospital. The State government further sought three more days from the Supreme Court to comply with its directive to shift farmer leader Jagjit Singh Dallewal.

Punjab Advocate General Gurminder Singh informed the Supreme Court that there was a proposal that farmer leader Jagjit Singh Dallewal would take medical aid if the Centre invited the protesters to talk.
