Clutch-time road games have become the norm for Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Jalen Williams and the Oklahoma City Thunder over their last two playoff runs. On Sunday afternoon, Oklahoma City won a 92-87 slogfest against the Denver Nuggets to tie its second-round series at two games apiece despite shooting 45.
Denver was last in the league in 3-point attempts per game during the regular season (31.9), but that number has jumped to 38.5 3PA in the four contests against OKC. In their first-round series versus the LA Clippers, the Nuggets fired up an average of just 29.0 3PA across seven games.
While the Thunder did not receive the 76ers pick during the draft lottery, they still own the 15th, 24th and either the 44th or 45th pick in the upcoming 2025 draft. Because of this, Oklahoma City will have another opportunity to add more young talent to their team next season to make another deep playoff run.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander scored a team-best 25 points to lead OKC to a much-needed win, and the Thunder outscored the Nuggets 29-18 in the fourth quarter.
