COLUMBUS, Ohio — Crews are working to contain a large fire that broke out at an auto scrapyard in southeast Columbus early Friday morning. The Columbus Division of Fire was called to Columbus Auto Shredding at 2181 Alum Creek Dr. around midnight. The blaze was called out as a two-alarm fire around 1:30 a.m.

Columbus Division of Fire crews were still fighting the blaze as of 10 p.m. Friday. The Ohio State Fire Marshal said it has not been asked to assist in the investigation as of early Friday but also noted that it often isn't asked to assist until after the fire is contained.
