During DIY’s (Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa first run together in WWE NXT, the pair would post a string of videos where they would play Bobby Roode’s theme song, Glorious, leading to Roode walking into frame and slowly nodding. Some scenarios even featured the pair waking Roode up in the middle of the night to record the videos.

The special edition of NXT saw appearances from top WWE stars and legends, including Triple H, Rhea Ripley, Sami Zayn, and other surprises.

Former NXT Champion Sami Zayn appeared at NXT Homecoming, speaking in a backstage segment and praising Je’Von Evans. Zayn was confronted by Josh Briggs, who was attacked by Evans. Zayn spoke with Evans, saying that it doesn’t come easy for guys like them, but that the sky is the limit.

The partnership between NXT and TNA has indeed been incredibly one-sided, with the WWE contracted talent coming out ahead far more often than not. An invasion likely wouldn’t go much differently, but at the very least it could cast TNA and its talent in a much better light.
