Garrett Gallegos homered and pitched five innings to help Nevada beat Connecticut 8-2 in their Little League World Series semifinal, setting up a title game against Taiwan.

Chinese-Tapei reached the title game last year but fell to Florida. They have not won the Little League World Series since 1996. Nevada has never won the Little League World Series. First pitch for the championship game is set for 3 p.m.

AM Taiwan, behind a dominant pitching performance from Lin Chin-Tse, beat Nevada 7-0 on Sunday in the Little League World Series championship game, ending the United States' eight-year hold on the youth baseball crown.
