MCG, Test and Sutherland
Aussie ace creates history in women's Test at MCG
Australia star Annabel Sutherland has posted a record-equalling third Test century to extend England's nightmare Ashes tour. England have dropped five catches, amongst numerous sloppy misfields, with Australia going to dinner at 3-278 on day two of the sole day-night women's Test at the MCG.
Annabel Sutherland scripts history at MCG in Women's Ashes Test
As mentioned, Sutherland is the first player to slam a ton in Women's Test at the MCG. As per ESPNcricinfo, she surpassed the previous record of Elizabeth Alexandra Snowball, who scored an unbeaten 83 in January 18, 1935. Later on Mooney (98*) too surpassed Snowball.
Sutherland makes history with pink-ball MCG century
Annabel Sutherland has become the first woman to score a Test century at the MCG and just the third Australian woman to hit three Test hundreds after dominating England on day two of the pink-ball Ashes Test. In just her sixth Test match, Sutherland has equalled Betty Wilson and Jill Kennare for the most women's Test centuries by an Australian.
