The nor’easter impacting the tri-state area is bringing strong winds, heavy rain and the risk of significant coastal flooding to parts of Long Island and New York City through Monday morning.
New York City Governor Kathy Hochul declared a state of emergency in response to a powerful nor’easter, resulting in cancellation of Columbus Day parade 2025.
At least one person has died during a powerful nor’easter that brought heavy rain, damaging wind gusts and coastal flooding to communities up and down the East Coast since the weekend.
