PROVO, Utah (AP) — As authorities worked feverishly to find the person who assassinated Charlie Kirk at Utah Valley University last week, the 22-year-old man now charged with the crime was texting with his romantic partner and acknowledging he was the shooter, court documents revealed.

Utah officials have released shocking texts allegedly sent by the alleged Charlie Kirk assassin, Tyler Robinson, to his roommate in the hours after the fatal shooting.

The 214-213 roll call shelved a resolution from GOP Rep. Nancy Mace of South Carolina to censure Democratic Rep. Ilhan Omar of Minnesota and have her removed from two House committees: Education and the Workforce, and Budget. The two have feuded viciously on social media.

Amanda Seyfried has addressed the controversy surrounding a remark she made about Charlie Kirk after he was shot dead. Kirk was killed last week at the age of 31 during a speaking engagement for his “American Comeback Tour” at Utah Valley University. In an Instagram comment shortly afterwards, Seyfried described Kirk as “hateful.”
