Ward Sakeik -- a stateless Palestinian woman who was detained on her way back from her honeymoon-- has been released from ICE detention nearly five months after her arrest, her husband confirmed to ABC News.

Ward Sakeik, a Palestinian woman married to a U.S. citizen, was nearly deported twice despite a pending green card application.

Ward Sakeik, who is Palestinian, was released from the Prairieland Detention Center on Tuesday night, nearly 140 days after being taken into custody by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). She was detained in February on her way home from her honeymoon with her husband, who is a U.S. citizen, in the U.S. Virgin Islands.
