Uber has unrolled a “Women Preferences” feature that allows women riders to request rides from female drivers.

The company said that the option was a top request, with about 75% of women riders supporting an option to match with women drivers.

Dozens of restaurants are participating in the program, which the company says is best utilized for trips under 2 miles.
