Nintendo Switch games can be expensive, but there are plenty of fun free-to-play games you can enjoy. Many of the Switch's best free games are iconic battle royales, including Fortnite and Apex Legends.

So, there you go, there are the games we’re desperate to see as Nintendo Switch 2 launch titles. They won’t be, but life is a constant cycle of unbridled hope and often slightly disappointing by comparison reality, with the hope bit being both what makes it all so enthralling, and so soul-warping.

In other words, your existing games library, whether it consists of physical cards, digital downloads, or a combination of the two is not in jeopardy of being abandoned on the next-gen handheld. Not entirely and probably not much, anyway—the caveat is that " certain " Switch titles may not work properly or at all on the Switch 2.

Details of what the Nintendo Switch 2 can actually do are somewhat scare at the moment, but there's one thing it could do to surpass the first Switch.
