It appears the Rangers - and more importantly - reliever Luke Jackson dodged a bullet on Monday. Jackson reported significant improvement in the state of his right hand and wrist after he was hit by a line drive by Colorado’s Ryan McMahon a night earlier on the first pitch he threw.

The Texas Rangers were able to hold off the Colorado Rockies on Tuesday night for a 2-1 win in their first game of a three-game series, but it wasn’t all positive for the team. Shortstop Corey Seager missed another game because of nagging hamstring soreness.
