JERUSALEM (Reuters) - Three Palestinians were killed and scores more injured by an Israeli air strike in the occupied West Bank city of Jenin on Wednesday, the Palestinian Red Crescent said. The Israeli military said it had conducted a strike in the area of Jenin but did not give further details.

Al Jazeera’s Hamdah Salhut said the drone strike on the Jenin camp comes amid intense Israeli military raids on local communities and the killing by Israeli forces of almost 800 Palestinians in the occupied West Bank since October 7, 2023 – as well as the arrest of several thousand others.

The Palestinian Ministry of Health announced that six Palestinians were martyred late last night in an Israeli airstrike on the Jenin Refugee Camp in the northern West Bank. The bodies of the victims were transferred to the Jenin Governmental Hospital, according to the Ministry of Health.
