Outside of those two, outside linebackers coach Jan Jorgensen is another coach on Mendenhall’s staff who has ties to the rival Cougars. Jorgensen played at BYU from 2006 through 2009 and has since had two stints on the Cougars' coaching staff — from 2015 through 2017 and again from 2022 and 2023.
