Forecasters with the National Weather Service said Tropical Storm Chantal is expected to move across the coast of South Carolina on Sunday.

MIAMI — Tropical Storm Chantal is forecast to bring heavy rains as it moves inland across northeastern South Carolina on Sunday. Tropical storm warnings were issued for portions of the two Carolinas, the National Hurricane Center in Miami said.

As expected, the 11 a.m. advisory has updated to show that Tropical Storm Chantal has weakened into a Tropical Depression.
