The U.S. is up to 1,024 confirmed measles cases. Texas has added only one case to its count since Tuesday, further signaling slowing of the nation's largest outbreak.

State health officials have removed three Texas counties from the list of counties with active measles spread.

The Texas health department reported a total of 718 cases of measles in the state as on Friday, an addition of one case since its last update on Tuesday, marking the lowest increase since the outbreak began in February.
