San Francisco police have announced they will hold a virtual town hall meeting next week to release more details about the killing of a shooting suspect following a standoff in the city's South of Market neighborhood on Monday.

The San Francisco Police Department announced it made over 200 arrests on one small stretch of the city over the course of the last month. In 30 days, 218 arrests were made on the Sixth Street corridor just south of Market Street,

San Francisco police said a shooting in the SoMa District Monday evening left one person injured. The shooting happened near Mission and 9th streets, just before 5 p.m. Police arrived at the scene and found one person suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was taken to the hospital. Their condition was not known.

The San Francisco Police Department said that around 4:55 p.m., officers were alerted to a report of a shooting in the area of Mission and 9th Streets. When they arrived, they reportedly found a man with gunshot wounds being treated by paramedics.
