Israeli forces have killed a member of the Palestinian security services in the occupied West Bank whom they accused of being militant.

A month into a crackdown by Palestinian security forces on militants in the Israeli-occupied West Bank, the streets of Jenin refugee camp are deserted, except for a few residents briefly checking on their homes.

Palestinian Authority (PA) security forces killed a father and his son in Jenin on Friday amid an ongoing crackdown on anti- Israel resistance groups in the occupied West Bank city. The slain man was identified as Mahmoud al-Jalqamousi. His young son Qasem Mahmoud al-Jalqamousi was also killed, both deaths were reported by local media.

The Palestinian Authority has suspended Al Jazeera from broadcasting and operating in the occupied West Bank. It accused the network of broadcasting “inciting materials” and “misleading reports” that “provoke strife and interfere in Palestinian internal affairs,” Wafa, the official Palestinian news agency, said Wednesday.
