With Renault ending its F1 power unit program, Alpine will have to turn to an outside supplier for the first time.

Alpine has confirmed that it has entered into a multi-year power unit supply agreement with Mercedes-AMG High Performance Powertrains.

The Alpine Formula 1 team has officially announced it will switch to Mercedes power units from the 2026 season onwards. Alpine's parent company Renault formally decided at the end of September to go through with plans to abandon its works engine programme in France's Viry-Chatillon,
