A man accused of aiming a gun at passing cars in Denver, and later at city police officers, was shot Monday morning when he refused to lower his weapon, investigators said.

A suspect was rushed to the hospital after being shot by Denver police officers on Monday morning. The shooting happened in the area of Alameda Avenue and Lipan just before 9 a.m. According to the Denver Police Department, officers initially responded to the weapons-related call.

DENVER — A man is dead after a shooting involving Denver Police early Friday morning. The call came in at about 4 a.m. in the area of South Dahlia Street and East Warren Avenue for a report of shots fired, according to Denver Police. Shortly after that, police received a call for domestic violence, police said.
