University of South Carolina students were told to shelter in place Sunday after an unconfirmed report of an active shooter on the main campus.

C hattanooga Police have cleared the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga after a report of an active shooter locked down college and city government buildings for more than an hour Aug. 21. The university posted the all clear and lifted the lockdown at about 1 p.m. after a thorough search of campus.
