After spending countless lives in defence of democracy on PlayStation and PC, Helldivers 2 is finally making its way to Xbox platforms. It's a significant move for Sony, no doubt one designed to help replenish the ranks now that the Illuminate are becoming a pressing issue in the game.

PlayStation’s Helldivers 2 is officially coming to Xbox consoles next month. The game, which was released on PS5 and PC last year, will come to Xbox on August 26. “We know gamers have been asking for this for some time and we are so excited to bring more Helldivers into our game,” said director Mikael Eriksson.

Helldivers 2 is the first PlayStation game published by Sony to come to Xbox, but will others follow suit? If fans support it, there's a good chance they will.
