After a 2-0 start to the 2024-25 college basketball season, Purdue has moved up one spot in the Associated Press poll.

Purdue's all-time assist leaderboard includes some legendary names. But current Boilermaker guard Braden Smith has the potential to pass them all by the end of his career in West Lafayette.

The Boilermakers (2-0) are coming off a 72-50 win over Northern Kentucky that presented them with an issue they didn't face all last season. Starting center Daniel Jacobsen went down with a season-ending injury in the opening minutes.

The win moves the 13th-ranked Boilermakers to a 3-0 record, with a game against Alabama looming on Friday. The first bit of intrigue was settled in pregame announcements, with sophomore center Will Berg getting the first minutes at center.
