The Green Bay Packers on Saturday took out insurance on injured kicker Brandon McManus. Meanwhile, a roster move that was not made could be telling for Sunday’s game against the Bengals.
The Green Bay Packers made three roster moves on Saturday, just one day before playing the Cincinnati Bengals at Lambeau Field in Week 6. The most important of the moves was signing veteran kicker Lucas Havrisik, who will provide an insurance policy on special teams with kicker Brandon McManus questionable to play with a right quad injury.
It remains to be seen if Brandon McManus will be available tomorrow, but the Packers have added kicking insurance in the form of Lucas Havrisik.

Havrisik's record-setting field goal came right at the end of the first half of Sunday's Week 7 game. The successful kick has kept the 26-year-old perfect through one and a half games with Green Bay. As of the third quarter of the Week 7 game against the Cardinals, Havrisik is 4-for-4 on field goal attempts and 3-for-3 on point-after tries.
