Mangrove snappers have been on the large side up to 8 and 9 pounds, especially off Sebastian and Fort Pierce. They have been caught better in 65 to 75 feet of water.

Topwater bait early in the morning has worked. If you can stand to be out in the afternoon, try Carolina rigs and crankbaits near submerged grass.
