Next year, Halo Studios is celebrating the 25th anniversary of 'Combat Evolved' with a remake heralding the series' debut on PS5.

Halo is looking for a fresh start, and today’s 2025 Halo Project Update livestream could give it just that.

At the beginning of the generation, 343 released Halo Infinite. It was a pretty well-received game as a whole, especially given its troubled development and the lackluster response to Halo 5 ‘s campaign six years prior.

Combat Evolved will be coming out next year for Xbox Series consoles, PC and, for the first time, a PlayStation console, Microsoft revealed Friday. This will be a rebuilt version of the 2001 game first released on the original Xbox along with new content.

Halo Studios is reportedly working on two Halo titles scheduled for release in 2026, and one of them is a multiplayer project 'like Fortnite.'
