Michigan State trailed most of the game, but a strong finish was enough for the Spartans to survive an upset scare from Bowling Green at the Breslin Center. Michigan State finished the game on an 18-0 run and held the Falcons without a field goal in the final seven minutes for the 86-72 victory.

Jaden Akins had 13 points, 12 rebounds and six assists to lead seven Michigan State players scoring in double figures and the Spartans scored the final 17 points to beat Bowling Green 86-72.
