The horror thriller series “Teacup” has been canceled at Peacock after just one season, Variety has learned. The show was inspired by the Robert McCammon novel “Stinger.” It was originally picked up straight-to-series at the NBCUniversal-backed streaming service in 2022 and debuted in October 2024.
Campbell joined Peacock in 2021 after several years at Hulu. She has presided over a period of growth at the NBCU streamer, which boasts 36 million subscribers as of the third quarter of 2024 and has narrowed its losses in the past year.
