Iran’s foreign ministry on Saturday distanced Tehran from plot to assassinate the United States, US, President-elect, Donald Trump. The spokesman of the ministry, Esmaeil Baghaei described the plot to assassinate Trump as “totally unfounded.

An "Iranian asset" has been charged over an alleged plot by the country's elite Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) to kill Donald Trump - the United States president-elect who has already survived two attempts on his life.

The dubious politician endured a wound in his upper right ear at the hands of Thomas Matthew Crooks, whose aim killed one audience member and critically injured two others. Crooks was subsequently shot and killed by a member of the US Secret Service.
