President Donald Trump said July 13 that the United States would soon send Patriot missile interceptors to Ukraine, two weeks after the U.S. decision to pause weapons deliveries to Kyiv.

The Senate passed Trump’s so-called “big, beautiful bill” after a 26-hour marathon of negotiations during which Alaska Senator Lisa Murkowski, as she put it later, “struggled mightily” to soften the biggest funding blows to her state before ultimately casting a vote that guaranteed its passage.
