The Ducks were coming off of a bounce-back overtime win over the Carolina Hurricanes on Sunday after back-to-back losing efforts against the St. Louis Blues and Philadelphia Flyers where they were outscored 12-2.

Logan Thompson stopped all 18 shots he faced for his first shutout of the season as Washington beat the Ducks.

On Thursday, the Ducks began their season-long six-game road trip with a matchup against former longest-tenured Duck Cam Fowler and the St. Louis Blues. The Ducks entered play coming off an overtime loss on Tuesday to the Calgary Flames and having tallied points in five of their last six games.

Terry returns after missing three games for the birth of his child, but Logan Thompson makes 18 saves and the Ducks get blanked for the second time in three games, 3-0.
