Scotland's cold snap has brought fresh ice and snow warnings after temperatures plummeted to -6C in Scotland on Thursday night. Yellow warnings are in place for for icy conditions across the country. Wintry conditions are forecast to continue into next week, with widespread snow expected to hit large parts of the country on Sunday.

Heavy snow and ice is expected to cause disruption across Scotland over the weekend, with temperatures forecast to drop as low as -10C. A yellow alert for ice is in place across almost all of the country until 10:00 on Saturday,

The Met Office has updated its yellow weather warning in Hampshire and is now warning of snow and ice this weekend. Initially, the Met Office was warning only of snow in parts of Hampshire but have now updated the yellow warning to say that ice is also likely to be present.

Kent residents have been warned to take care of themselves and others as snow, ice and freezing temperatures are forecast across the weekend. The Met Office yellow weather warning for snow and ice covers the county from midday on Saturday until midnight on Sunday.
