Expect about a quarter to a half-inch of rain across northern New Jersey and a half-inch to an inch across the rest of the state, the National Weather Service said in its morning forecast discussion. Tuesday will be cooler than it’s been with highs in the 60s to about 70.

The region could see a variety of bad weather on Tuesday: showers, thunderstorms, gusty winds, fog and floods.

After a stormy start to the week on Monday, scattered showers will be possible on Tuesday, however, the chance of rain is not as high and the wet weather will not be as widespread. But don't put away your umbrella just yet.
