The Oregon high school football playoffs kicked off Friday with first-round action across the state. Here’s a look at some of the best games, top stars and memorable performances. Note: Entries are based on information provided by coaches,

Stunner in wine country: Newberg was able to come back from behind to beat visiting Oregon City 41-40 in the final seconds of Friday’s game. Parker Sellner rolled out to his left and was able to connect on a game-winning touchdown. The ensuing PAT put the Tigers up by one point with just 19 seconds for the Pioneers to respond.

The Oregon high school football state playoffs are here, and the OSAA brackets for the 6A through 4A classifications were released late Friday night. Those first-round games will be held Friday or Saturday. Brackets for the 3A, 2A and 1A classifications are expected to be released late Saturday night or Sunday.
