North Andover, Massachusetts police officer Kelsey Fitzsimmons is in stable condition, a day after she was shot​ by a fellow officer as she was served with a restraining order.

An officer fired his weapon once, hitting Kelsey Fitzsimmons in the chest. She was flown to a Boston hospital, where she was listed as stable.

North Andover officer and new mom Kelsey Fitzsimmons, 28, was shot once when three officers arrived at her home on Monday evening to present her a restraining order, Essex County District Attorney Paul Tucker said during a news conference Tuesday.
