It isn't the version I was hoping for (get on it, modders), but it is still an incredible game and I'm happy it exists. Ninja Gaiden 2 is remarkable, even with its flaws, and it's good to finally have it back in Black.

During the latest Xbox Developer Direct, Team Ninja and Koei Tecmo shadow dropped a remaster of its beloved action game, Ninja Gaiden 2. Just a few days after its launch, Ninja Gaiden 2 Black has received its first update fixing some pretty major bugs.

The remake released as part of a concentrated effort from the Japanese publisher to put Ninja Gaiden back in the limelight. Later this year, a full-blown sequel named Ninja Gaiden 4 will also launch on the PS5, with development already 70-80% complete.
